Daniella Gitlin: currently a professor of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies at Barnard College. She earned her PhD in Comparative Literature and a Certificate in Media and Culture from NYU.

 

Her English translation of Rodolfo Walsh's Operación Masacre (1957) was published by Seven Stories Press in 2013.

Her writing and translations have appeared in the Latin American Literary Review, the London Review of Books blog, and CineAction, among other publications.

Daniella holds an MA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University and is president of the board of directors of Word Up, a volunteer-run, bilingual community bookstore and art space in Washington Heights, NYC.
